About Sheilani
[Pronouns: she / her / hers ]
As a member of our teacher team, Sheilani co-facilitates offerings in our public training program, focusing on Finance Fundamentals: Understanding Key Language, Concepts, and Practices.
Sheilani has spent most of her career in healthcare administration acquiring experiences grounded in data, analysis, business planning, and leadership within health maintenance organizations (HMOs), government, and nonprofit organizations. Initially working in the private sector, her passion for direct community service crossed over to the public health sector through her work with Alameda County Health Care Services Agency HealthPAC (a program providing affordable healthcare to uninsured individuals living in Alameda County), Alameda County Care Connect (a Medi-Cal program focused on improving systems to serve high need residents of the county) and the City of Berkeley Public Health Division YouthWorks (a job placement and training program for youth).
Over the last 10+ years, she has served on the Board of Directors for Shekinah Christian Academy of Bulacan (a nonprofit K-12 school in rural Philippines), Filipino Advocates for Justice (FAJ) in Oakland, CA, and Filipino Cine and Arts (FACINE) in San Francisco, CA as Treasurer. She enjoys spaces where learning and sharing thrive in harmony and welcomes the opportunity to make technical learning as enjoyable as possible.
